a central phone and mailing address for dissemination of
information for all individual and corporate matters.
- Helps
the individual D.O., and the profession as a whole, to better
serve the interests of osteopathic medicine, and concerns
itself with the quality and cost of the delivery of health
care for citizens of Louisiana.
- Effectively
represents the profession before legislative bodies and government
agencies on matters affecting the individual D.O. or the osteopathic
profession.
- Develops
a public relations program for within the profession as well
as a program for informing the public of the profession’s
achievements and programs.
- Provides
a liaison to all health care organizations and agencies; maintains
liaison with the Louisiana State Licensing Board.
- Coordinates
communications and functions with the American Osteopathic
Association and all of its subdivisions.
- Provides
information to members and other individuals and organizations
that require data concerning a doctor or the profession.
- Believes
that the individual D.O., the total osteopathic profession
and patient’s interests will be best served by all D.O.s working
together.
